Bittersweet

Getting up early isn’t the hard thing,

Walking out that door is.

Heavy steps,

Mother’s kisses on cheek,

That hard goodbye,

I still see tears in their eyes,

Even though they should be getting used to it by now.

Waving bye to Father,

He stays till the bus leaves,

That awkward silence,

And the awkward goodbye.

It’s probably the hundredth time,

But every single time,

I’m left with nothing but bittersweet feelings.

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to this feeling. Have a great weekend people!

Thank you

16th March 2015, I finally created this blog and didn’t regret it ever since. In this week, I turned 19 and this blog completed one year. Today’s post isn’t any poem or article, but a thank you note for you guys, who’ve read, commented, liked and supported this blog throughout this year. I couldn’t be more thankful.
Let me start by thanking a few people.  Pooja, Mrunal and Anjali, if you wouldn’t have encouraged me to post “Somebody’s Hero” there would have been no ‘goldheartedbluegirl’ today. Aditya, my brother, if you wouldn’t have gave me your honest opinion, I wouldn’t have written more stuff. And also thanks to your editing skills.
Awesome 10 people! A big big shout out to every one of you! Aamir, Justin, Lakshmi, Tanvi, Samruddhi, Amey, Abhishek, Shubham, and Jitendra, if it weren’t have been you guys, I don’t know where I’d be. Thanks a lot!
Also a big shout out to some silent readers who prefer remaining anonymous. I appreciate you spending your precious time for reading my work. There are so many people, but I can’t individually thank each of them.
So here’s a thank you note to all of you who are reading this. You! Yes you are a wonderful person and keep being this awesome.
