Just Speak

Tonight might be the night when you finally set free,
The voice in the back of your head that makes you believe,
It might be too late to apologize,
But its better than living in disguise,
It’s like a rubber band,
Don’t stretch too much,
You might hurt someone in a mere second of a touch,
How will you ever find peace ?
If your insides are at war with each other,
How will you ever give an opinion?
If you keep ignoring the trouble,
Staying quiet,
Isn’t wise,
Yes you wish,
Not to cause a fight,
But only if you speak,
Will they ever hear you,
People are not mind readers yet,
Even if they were,
They won’t bother to care,
So break down your walls,
Sing through your heart,
Release the voices in your head,
Let your thoughts break the barrier,
Don’t let yourself be weak,
Just speak!

-Prajakta Dengale

Writer’s note: Staying quiet won’t let people hear the storm in your mind. So start speaking your thoughts, because they matter!

Keep Smiling☺
